E4D

E4d is a hi-tech dental device that is able to focus on highly advanced 3D imaging in order to create a crown in just one visit! E4D is technologically advances bringing a much higher productivity rate for the dental professionals. With the use of this device, patient comfort and convenience are a major factor. We are able to scan the patient's mouth, design a new tooth, mill and place the "tooth" all in office during your one and only one appointment.

How to achieve a single crown in just one visit!

First, we perform an oral exam. Depending on the amount of remaining healthy tooth structure, we will determine whether the patient will require a simple filling or a full crown restoration.

Second, we scan the restoration site. This is all computer guided. The wand captures precise3D details in order to accomplish the most accurate restoration.

Next, we administer anesthetic to the area we will be working on and prep the tooth that is to be restored.

Lastly, after the scan has processed, that information is sent to the designing phase to accurately depict your new crown. The design is then brought in to the milling portion of the process where a ceramic block, that matches the patient's appropriate tooth color, and is milled, right there, in our office. The milling process typically takes no more than 20 minutes and is ready to be set in place.

No temporaries. No down time. No second appointment.

E4D System

E4D Benefits

The (E4D Dentist System, NEVO or PlanScan) system represents the future of dentistry using computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) in the dental office. Without using impression materials that could potentially create an unpleasant experience for patients - nor any type of powder - (E4D Dentist System, NEVO or PlanScan) enables dentists to use a hand-held scanning technology to obtain digital impressions of a patient’s teeth.

Here’s why we at InfoStar Dental 1 are already looking into the future:
  • CAD/CAM techniques are precise and accurate.
  • Restorations match existing teeth to provide a natural bite and smile.
  • A relaxing patient experience.
  • There’s no need for conventional impressions or temporaries.
  • Patients can receive their restorations same-day; multiple visits are no longer necessary.

E4D Crowns In One Visit

The E4D is a digital scanner, design center, and milling unit all wrapped up in one to be able to fabricate a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing crown restoration in as little as one hour. The E4D is capable of designing not only crowns, but veneers, inlays and onlays! The E4D system scans your teeth, designs the new tooth, and precisely mills the replacement. No temporaries. No second appointment

1. The first thing we do examine the tooth that is to be restored. More often than not, we need to reduce the original tooth structure in order to allow a proper fit for the new E4D crown and to create a solid foundation for the new crown to bond with.

2. Next, using our state-of-the-art E4D machine, we digitally scan the area of your mouth that is being prepared for your new crown. This is done by using the E4D wand and scanning the appropriate area which allows us to bring in an accurate representation of the restoration area.

3. Once your tooth is scanned in to the E4D system we start the design phase. The E4D machine brings up the scanned high-resolution 4D representation of the prepped area. We digitally create a new tooth that will fit perfectly over the designated area. Matching the color of your surrounding teeth, along with the correct size and shape. A precision fitted crown is created to give the feel and look of your natural teeth that will also function as a real tooth as well.

4. Using the same E4D machine, we send your newly designed crown to the milling machine. Your crown is then milled, right in our office, to match what was digitally created. We place a porcelain block that has been colored matched to correspond perfectly with your natural teeth, in to the machine and run the program. The E4D machine then robotically fabricates a perfect new crown that is ready to be placed in the restoration area of your mouth. At this point, your new crown is ready to be adhered. No waiting. No temporaries. No other required appointments at a later date.

E4D Fillings

The easiest filling you will ever receive! With the help of our E4D machine, you can get a filling in just one quick visit. This is good not only for new fillings but can also be used to replace old unsightly metal fillings. E4D is chosen by many dentists to help restore teeth back to their natural beauty and shine. Instead of the traditional fillings, which use resin or composite materials, the E4D machine uses porcelain. Porcelain has a higher success rate and lasts much longer than the traditional non-E4D fillings. The first step is examining you tooth structure that is to be restored. The treatment area is prepped and a digital impression is taken of the restoration area. Instead of those messy uncomfortable molds, our office simply scans the area with a wand that captures the teeth in which your fillings are to be placed. Next, we use the E4D machine that helps us to create a 4D model of your restoration. After the design phase is complete, this information is sent to the milling machine where it mills your prefabricated porcelain filling. Once complete, the filling is ready to be placed and polished during your same visit. This process is quick, simple and creates the same feel and functionality of your natural teeth with pleasing aesthetics as well as long lasting results.

Our office is unique and as such we are happy to be able to provide our patients with hi-tech single-visit inlays and onlays all focused around our amazing E4D machine. The E4D machine allows this entire process to be shortened tremendously as well as done in-house from start to finish without the messy and uncomfortable impression mold! Using the E4D machine, we will scan your mouth, digitally design a complete restoration on the computer, have our in-house milling machine fabricate the restoration right in front of you and be able to place the restoration the very same day. You will leave our office with a new inlay/onlay the same day of your appointment. No mess. No fuss. No temporaries. No second appointment.

The E4D system allows us to get accurate results with no messy impressions, no temporaries, and no second appointments. With the E4D, you will leave our office with your new, permanent, natural looking/functioning dental veneers! In just one visit, the E4D machine scans, designs and mills veneers that will look, feel, and function like your very own, natural teeth. The first step in this process is scanning your mouth to gather a virtual impression. Which means, no more molds! The impression is then used to design a 4D version of your new teeth through means of veneers. Next, that design is then sent to the milling phase where perfectly shaped, size and color-matched veneers are milled. At this point, your new veneers are ready to be placed right then and there in our office during the very same appointment. the E4D system makes it simple and extremely convenient to positively change a smile in just one single visit.
